A unique and immersive AR experience for Universal Pictures' "The Black Phone," utilising the groundbreaking new vertical wall detection feature within the 8th Wall platform. This interactive effect transported users into the chilling basement setting of the film, allowing them to "scratch" their name onto the wall using AR.

My Role:

• Video Lead: Led the development of the AR effect, sourcing footage from film trailers to create an engaging introductory sequence that immersed users in the chilling basement atmosphere.
  
  

• Lead Animator: Meticulously designed and produced all UI animations, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user journey. This was crucial, as the project utilised a novel feature requiring clear and concise user guidance. Collaborated closely with developers to bring the personalised on-screen messaging to life, delivering a dynamic and impactful climax to the AR experience.
  
  

• Audio Director: Sourced, edited, and integrated music, dialogue, and sound effects from the film, creating an immersive and atmospheric soundscape that heightened the sense of tension and suspense, perfectly capturing the horror genre of "The Black Phone."
